Random Pictures

Before today's women's hockey game I was bored so I decided to take my digital camera down by the lake:

The Aerial Lift Bridge(I know, there's pictures all over the net of it):

UNDER the lift bridge:

A brave seagull, the only one that didn't fly away as I walked up towards it:

I took more but this is a start. Don't forget, you can right click on a photo and select 'view image' to see it larger. If you want to use the picture, save it yourself, don't use my hosting of it and eat bandwidth. Thanks!

Cloquet Wal-Mart's customer service SUCKS

Last night, after coming home from the UMD women's hockey game I stopped at Wal-Mart to buy a few things. They had 4 'lanes' open and a ton of people trying to get checked out. I got in one line at 9:45 as did 3 other people behind me, one was a lady with a large cart full of groceries. As soon as it was MY turn to get my stuff checked out, it turned 10 pm.

The "cashier"(whatever Wal-Mart calls the girls they hire) tells the lady with all the groceries, "umm, excuse me, this lane is closed." She checks my stuff that was already on the belt, I pay, and she just walks away from the now 5 people in her line. So after waiting over 15 minutes to get to the front of a line, she now has to get to the back of one of the other lines and wait all over again.

At the least, I go to Wal-Mart twice a week. 99% of the time I go there I use the self-checkout lanes, but they close those things before 9 pm so I had to go through a lane with a person "working." Maybe the word person should be in italics also?

Grandmasters of Wrestling dvd

I was looking around a store the other day and found these Grandmaster of Wrestling dvd's that had the Iron Sheik, Nikolai Volkoff, Classy Freddie Blassy, and other stuff on it and had to make the purchase, since I've been a wrestling fan forever.

The dvd is great, though it's only an hour long.

Classy Freddie Blassy sings a song he made popular (I guess) 30 years ago on the Dr Dimento show (they mention Dr. Dimento a bunch) called 'Pencil Necked Geek.'

Nikolai Volkoff wrestles Bam Bam Bigelow, who everyone knows for the flames tattooed on his fat bald head.

The Iron Sheik is the highlight of the video, he does a weight strength exercise with some heavy bars, then wrestles against The Great Maccabe for something they called The Maccabian Title I believe.

Anyway, I bought 6 of the DVD's and have listed 5 on of them on eBay for people to buy. I've seen the dvd on eBay before but not as cheap. CLICK HERE to see the DVD listing and make the purchase. It's only $4.75 including shipping/handling if you live in the US.

Aerosmith & Motley Crue Target Center

WOW.. Aerosmith and Motley Crue are getting together for a concert tour...and its' coming to Minneapolis at Target Center December 7th. It would be a great concert to go to but the only way I'm going is if I win tickets, because Target Center isn't the best place to listen to concerts. The acoustics aren't that complementary to rock concerts. It does sound like a great time.

My Fishing Pals website

If you're from Minnesota, like a lot of the people who've found this blog, AND you fish or hunt, come visit MyFishingPals.com

This website, made for those of us in Minnesota to have a place to talk and message with other people intersted in fishing mostly, is great. The message boards are always filled with good information about fishing. You don't neccessarily have to be fishing IN Minnesota to learn something from the site.

There's also a great photo gallery where you can send 'Webdude,' the site creator your pictures from fishing and get them posted for the world to see :)

Still raining

Well, it's *STILL* raining out today... oh boy... I think I'd rather have snow than rain now.. the rain makes it look miserable and drab.

I actually ate a whole f'ing box of the mike & ike's in one night last night BURP. Tomorrow I'll actually get more beanie babies listed.. today I just decided to wait a day rather than list more. At least that's my plan as of right now :)

Beanie Babies

Ok, the Beanie Baby listings continue, though today being Monday I didn't exactly feel like listing a ton, so I got 4 listings on ;)

You can CLICK HERE to see the Beanie Babies that are listed today. I'll have more to list during the week and then I'll finally be done with the majority of them :)

MMMM Mike & Ike Jolly Joes

I took a short trip through the Dollar store to see what they had this week that might be profitable to buy for $1.00 and resell for a $2 or more on eBay. I didn't find anything of value, but I always go in there once a month or sometimes twice, to buy bubble mailers when I have stuff to ship. They sell the small ones 3/$1 so that's a better price than Wal-Mart's price.

Anyway, when I was in there and didn't find anything, other than a 1 hour pro wrestling dvd that I bought for myself(and yes, watched immediately after I got home) I was going to the checkout and noticed... I haven't had these in 4 years, Mike & Ike Jolly Joes (The grape flavor candy... MMMMMMMMMM)

YUM I bought 2 of the 1 lb boxes, and the best thing is.. they're still FRESH rather than all dried out and stale. I wished they'd had the Hot Tamales also, but I'm not complaining. :) Growing up around hockey rinks I kind of grew up with Hot Tamales, and Jolly Rancher Stix. Cinnamon candy kicks ass also.

It's Monday.......

Monday isn't neccessarily a GOOD day is it... today's a boring bland grey rainy fall day in Minnesota. Have to go to the post office sometime but other than that it'll be a really boring day which is good after 3 straight days watching hockey.

WWE Raw tonight was TAPED yesterday, blah, so going to wrestling websites is out, since most will have spoilers(results) posted to make the show no fun to watch.

15 days until Halloween... last year I handed candy out to 75 separate kids... the largest Halloween I can remember ever. Hopefully this year the weather cooperates again, and I stay out of the Halloween candy beforehand.

I'm thinking about creating a 4th blog, this one for my business stuff on eBay. I'll advertise what I've got to list for consignment as well as a way to advertise myself as a consignment seller. That's my current plan but who knows. As late Fall, early Winter approach the eBay consignment business usually picks up and I get extra busy, which is **NOT** a problem.

Gotta get working on Beanie Babies again tonight since there's still a bunch to be listed before I do the one big listing of all that didn't sell.
